I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of running my own business. I wrote my first business plan at 13, securing enough funding to purchase a 7-foot spiral gumball machine, which I placed in a local deli to make my first dollar as a young entrepreneur. I learned by doing, including creating a marketing campaign and managing company finances (loans, banking and accounts payable). It wasn’t long after that I knew I would study business, and I’ve remained committed to pursuing interesting entrepreneurial opportunities ever since.
Startup Experience Includes:
I founded TheTechUpload Consulting to provide digital marketing and technology solutions to businesses unfamiliar with the complex digital marketing landscape and constantly evolving social media platforms. I have provided strategic consultation and web development services to clients ranging from consulting firms to small towns.
Tykoon empowers kids and their families to develop stronger financial habits and values through real-life learning experiences. I joined Tykoon because I strongly believed in the mission, wanted to learn from the great team building the product and contribute my marketing expertise to a meaningful cause.
BU Boxes is the premier student storage solution for Binghamton University students. They offer students simplicity by providing boxes and packing materials, as well as the convenience and ease of on-campus pick-up and drop-off.
I met the founders of Raceline Direct — a successful online retailer for officially licensed NASCAR gear — and subsequently started working with them to launch BU Boxes. We developed an integrated marketing plan, started participating in campus events and went on to have a tremendously successful launch. The business continues to grow each year.
The premier party scene for young professionals. BScene strives to always create top-quality, memorable events, and in effect, create a hub where connections are made between students and the local community.
My co-founders and I created BScene with the goal of bridging the gap between students, recent grads and other young professionals in the community in a fun and energetic way. We held a very successful kick-off event in downtown Binghamton with over 100 peers in attendance and were selected as a finalist in the Binghamton University School of Management’s business plan competition — the culmination of our extensive market research, growth plan and financial analysis.
